Warranty Information

Warranty Information

The written warranty provided to our customers with each new A&J Builder home includes certain coverage for workmanship, system defects, and structural defects. In addition to standing behind the homes we build, we also include a third-party warranty through Maverick. With this warranty, you'll spend more time enjoying your new home and have peace of mind.

If this is your first home or your forever home, the maintenance may differ from past residences. To ensure your investment remains in top condition, we recommend following a preventative maintenance routine and familiarizing yourself with the Homeowner Maintenance manual provided during your final walkthrough. A general version is also found on this page.

1 Year
Workmanship

For the first year in your new A&J Builder home, we cover defects in materials or workmanship, as outlined in the Construction Performance Standards found within your Warranty Handbook.

2 Year
Systems

For the first two years in your A&J Builder home (and overlapping the 1-Year Workmanship Warranty), we warrant your home will be free from defects in the electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems (collectively referred to as “Systems”) as outlined in the Construction Performance Standards found within your Warranty Handbook. This includes the wiring, piping, and ductwork portions of the Systems.

3 Year
Structural

Our third-party warranty provider, Maverick, warrants your A&J Builder home will be free from major structural defects as outlined in the Construction Performance Standards found within your Warranty Handbook. Generally, this includes load-bearing portions of the home.

At A&J Builder, we also want you to feel confident that your investment is protected. That is why we stand by a zero-defect policy; meaning we won't move forward to closing until you're satisfied with the condition of your home.

A&J Builder Warranty Request Process

A&J Builder requires that all warranty requests be submitted in writing to the division from which you purchased your home. This process limits miscommunications. Warranty request forms and information are usually provided to you at your Home Orientation. If you do not have the warranty request information, you may contact the division directly using the form below.

If you have an issue covered by your warranty that is an emergency, please call the appropriate Trade Partner at the number listed on the Direct Call List you received during your Home Orientation. When you call the appropriate Trade Partner, please explain that you are an A&J Builder customer, and you have an emergency warranty issue. Please only contact the Trade Partner directly in an emergency situation, such as a plumbing leak, roof leak, or sewer backup.

To submit a warranty claim, notify A&J Builder by contacting the Division. Please see more information at our contact page.
